Film Screening: Women Talking

Join us Thursday 6th November for the Film Screening: Women Talking

The 2022 film, directed by Sarah Polley, is a powerful adaptation of Miriam Toews’ novel inspired by true events. It tells the story of a group of women in an isolated religious colony as they grapple with the aftermath of sexual violence, and come together to decide their future, their faith, and their freedom.

Women Talking is a moving reflection on gender-based violence, solidarity, and the collective courage it takes to resist oppression – themes that remain painfully relevant today.

This screening forms part of the lead-up to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25th November, a global day of action and awareness.

The screening will be followed by an open discussion, and entrance is free.

Thursday 6th November at 6:30pm, at Moviment Graffitti premises (67 Strait Street, Valletta)

Accessibility: Please note that the venue has stairs.
