Kurdistan – A Women’s Revolution

As part of the initiatives connected to International Women’s Day 2018, Moviment Graffitti is holding a talk entitled “Kurdistan: A Women’s Revolution.”

Silvia Todeschini, who spent two years in Rojava (northern Syria) will present the situation in this area, where Kurdish groups have liberated and defended their territory from ISIS. They are currently facing a military attack in the Afrin district, at the hands of the Turkish state.

She will focus on the role of Kurdish women in armed groups and the ongoing revolutionary process permeating all levels of life. Theirs is not only an armed struggle; it is also a social, cultural and political struggle involving the concept of Jineoloji (the science of women).

Free entry.
