Fortina agrees to suspend works in Balluta Bay

Fortina has informed us of their decision to suspend works on their private pontoon in Balluta Bay. Discussions between the St. Julian’s Local Council, residents and NGOs will take place in the coming weeks.

We would like to thank all those who participated in or supported the week-long direct action in Balluta Bay and hail this as more evidence that people’s pressure works.

Il-Fortina jaċċettaw li jissospendu x-xogħlijiet fil-Bajja tal-Balluta

Ġejna infurmati mill-Fortina li ddeċidew li jissospendu x-xogħlijiet fuq il-pontoon privat li jridu jibnu fil-Bajja tal-Balluta. Iktar diskussjonijiet bejn il-Kunsill Lokali ta’ San Ġiljan, ir-residenti u l-għaqdiet se jkunu qegħdin isiru fil-ġimgħat li ġejjin.

Nixtiequ nirringrazzjaw lil dawk kollha li ipparteċipaw jew appoġġjaw l-azzjoni diretta tagħna fil-Bajja tal-Balluta matul din il-ġimgħa. Din hija evidenza ċara li l-pressjoni tal-poplu tħalli l-impatt tagħha.
