SUMMARY:Massive Xlendi Development - PA Hearing
DESCRIPTION:The decision on the application for the demolition and excavation of a site which will eventually be developed into a 13-storey four-star hotel towering over Xlendi bay will be taken on Tuesday 26th January at 10.00 am. \nWe are encouraging the public to attend this meeting in order to voice its opposition to this project. \n TO ATTEND THE MEETING REGISTER FROM HERE: https://bit.ly/361JrwC \n Despite public outrage at this application\, with hundreds of residents\, together with the Local Council and Gozitan organisations\, voicing their objections to this development\, the case officer has recommended it for approval. Should permission be granted for phase 1 of the development\, which foresees the demolition and excavation of the site\, the site will be committed for development. This would essentially mean that approval of phase 2 of the development\, which covers the redevelopment of the site and the construction of a massive hotel\, would be a foregone conclusion\, rendering the planning process futile and nothing short of farcical. \n The PA has recently granted permission to another massive development right next to the proposed site. It would therefore be sheer and utter madness to allow another large-scale project to go ahead in the same area. Xlendi has already been considerably mutilated by overdevelopment; allowing more development to go ahead will permanently destroy the little that is left of its original character and aesthetic.

SUMMARY:Let’s Talk About Violence Against Women
DESCRIPTION:One in every four women in Malta experiences some form of violence. The last femicide was reported as recently as February. We cannot remain silent while women and girls continue to be victims of violence. \nOn Wednesday\, 25th November between 7.00 and 8.30 p.m.\, Moviment Graffitti is organising a webinar to observe the United Nations’ (UN) International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. While this day has become part of the UN calendar in 2000\, women’s rights activists have been observing this day and raising awareness about violence against women since 1981\, when they commemorated the assassination of three sisters by the dictatorship of the Dominican Republic which they had opposed and fought. \nThe speakers are the following: \n\nDr Marceline Naudi\, University of Malta academic and activist\nMs Elaine Compagno\, an activist for survivors of domestic violence\nMs Amanda Cossai\, an activist from the Malta LGBTIQ Rights Movement (MGRM)\nMs Maria Borg – working with women in prostitution\n\nThe webinar will be streamed live from this event.

SUMMARY:Peaceful Gathering in Memory of Sarah Hegazi
DESCRIPTION:Peaceful gathering in memory of Sarah Hegazi in front of the Egyptian Embassy in Malta! \nSARAH HEGAZI (1989-2020) \nSarah Hegazi was an Egyptian lesbian activist. On September 22\, 2017\, Sarah Hegazi attended a concert for Mashrou’ Leila whose lead singer\, Hamed Sinno\, is openly gay. She was arrested along with a group of others for waving a rainbow flag in support of LGBT rights. Her arrest coincided with Egypt’s zero-tolerance crackdown response to end public support for LGBT rights in the country. She recalled being jailed\, beaten and abused by inmates for three months. She had claimed asylum and was living in Canada while undergoing PTSD from the prison torture experience she underwent in Egypt. She died by suicide on June 14\, 2020. \nSarah’s last words:\n“الى اخوتي حاولت النجاة وفشلت، سامحوني\nالى اصدقائي\nالتجربة قاسية وانا اضعف من ان اقوامها، سامحوني\nالى العالم\nلقد كنت قاسيا الى حد عظيم ولكني اسامح ”\nسارة حجازي \nTo my siblings\,\nI have tried to find salvation and I failed; forgive me.\nTo my friends\,\nThe journey was cruel and I am too weak to resist; forgive me.\nTo the world\,\nYou were cruel to a great extent; but I forgive.”\n– Sarah Higazi \n“السما احلى من الأرض، وأنا عاوزه السما مش الأرض\nThe sky is sweeter than the earth\, and I need the sky not the earth.”\nLast post of Sarah

SUMMARY:In Commemoration Of Lassana Cisse's Murder
DESCRIPTION:Monday 6/04/2020 marks the one-year anniversary of Lassana Cisse’s death – a murder which was the result of a racially-motivated hate crime. \nWhile his two murderers roam free and continue living their lives out on bail\, this despite having also injured three other migrants in total\, Lassana’s life was cut short\, his only crime being that he was black. \nTo let this day go by just like any other day would mean that Lassana died in vain. In commemoration of this tragedy\, we would like to encourage you to share pictures\, photos and videos in remembrance of Lassana’s life\, and messages of solidarity with the other three victims who are still awaiting justice and with migrants who are still suffering racial discrimination and injustice on a daily basis to this Page. You can also help out by donating to Migrant Women Association Malta\, who have just launched an emergency fundraising campaign due to an increase in the risk of gender-based violence on migrant women brought about by Covid-19. Please visit their page for further details. \nLassana Cisse will not be forgotten. Our migrant brothers and sisters will not be forgotten. Even if we cannot physically meet\, let us show we care.

SUMMARY:Women's Day March Malta
DESCRIPTION:8 ta’ Marzu Jum il-Mara – 8th March Women’s Day \nMoviment Graffitti and Women’s Rights Foundation\, with the support of the organizations below\, are inviting you to participate in a walk in Valletta on the occasion of Women’s Day. \nWomen’s Day represents all the fights\, efforts\, battles and claims that women from all around the world and in different periods throughout history\, have carried out for equality; to improve their lives and to gain freedom and respect. \nIn the past century\, many changes have happened both legally and in the social and private lives of women in Malta. Yet\, we still cannot consider our society to be free from patriarchal attitudes and behaviours. Girls and women get harassed on several occasions in their daily lives. Sexist and misogynist language and messages are widely used in the form of friendly ambiguous jokes\, as well as in advertisements\, in the media and on social networks. \nDramatically\, Malta has witnessed several cases of domestic violence and a number of femicides (women killed by their partner\, their ex-partner or a relative) in the past years\, the last case\, just at the beginning of February\, being that of 34-year old Chantelle Chetcuti\, who was brutally murdered by her ex-partner. \nWe invite all women and all those living in Malta who want to raise their voice against gender inequality and sexism to join us on Sunday 8th March. We are all different\, everyone facing her/his own struggles caused by a sexist society\, but we can join forces and change this reality. \nNGOs supporting the march:\nAditus Foundation\, Allied Rainbow Communities\, Association for Equality\, Doctors for Choice Malta\, Integra Foundation\, Isles of the left\, LGBT+ Gozo\, MGRM\, Malta Confederation of Women’s Organisations\, Men against violence\, Moviment Graffitti\, SOS Malta\, Women for women\, Women’s Rights Foundation\, YPB\, Żminijietna Malta

SUMMARY:Protesta Kontra l-Ħakma tal-Iżviluppaturi
DESCRIPTION:Following the death of Miriam Pace in a tragedy caused by yet another act of carelessness by the development lobby\, Moviment Graffitti is calling for a non-partisan protest against the unsustainable situation in which our country finds itself. Residents and citizens are held hostage by a group of developers who consider themselves above the law and have total control over politics\, its players\, and the authorities that should be administering it. \nThe construction lobby is continuously interfering in reforms in this sector and insists that its profits\, not decency\, are the most important value. The lack of enforcement in the sector\, inadequate laws\, a complete laissez-faire in planning\, the lack of safety in construction sites\, and the arrogant bullying attitude of this lobby are the result of years and years of donations and pressure on the world of politics. \nThis latest fatality is the direct result of this situation. Together with this\, the legal notice drafted by Robert Musumeci after a spate of similar incidents last summer is the product of incompetence and servility towards the construction lobby. As we have repeated many times\, accidents like this were going to continue because this “reform” did not tackle\, in any manner\, the structural problems within the system. \nBesides a justified expression of anger on part of the public\, during this protest we will be asking for a serious and decent approach in the construction industry. We are presenting proposals for a reform that will relieve residents of their financial and logistical burdens\, that will give workers their rights and safety\, that will introduce the licensing of contractors and developers\, as well as the introduction of a points and blacklisting system. These proposals can be viewed online on https://bit.ly/3aqdnCm. \nThis Saturday\, the protest will start at 10.30am from St Thomas More College in Santa Venera\, and will move towards the site of the tragedy where some speeches will be held. \n******** \nPROTESTA KONTRA L-ĦAKMA TAL-IŻVILUPPATURI \nWara t-traġedja li swiet il-mewt lil Miriam Pace minħabba att ieħor ta’ traskuraġni mil-lobby tal-kostruzzjoni\, il-Moviment Graffitti qed isejjaħ protesta mhux partiġġjana kontra s-sitwazzjoni insostenibbli li jinsab fiha pajjiżna. Ir-residenti u ċ-ċittadini jinsabu ostaġġi ta’ grupp ta’ żviluppaturi li jqis ruħu ‘l fuq mil-liġi u li għandu kontroll assolut fuq il-politika\, min jagħmilha\, u l-awtoritajiet li suppost jamminstrawha. \nIl-lobby tal-kostruzzjoni kontinwament twaqqaf ir-riformi fis-settur tal-kostruzzjoni u tinsisti li l-profitt tagħha\, mhux id-deċenza\, hija l-iktar valur importanti. In-nuqqas ta’ infurzar fis-settur\, il-liġijiet difettużi\, il-libertinaġġ assolut fl-ippjanar\, in-nuqqas ta’ sikurezza fis-siti tal-kostruzzjoni\, u l-arroganza u l-prepotenza ta’ din il-lobby huma r-riżultat ta’ snin u snin ta’ donazzjonijiet u pressjonijiet fuq il-politika. \nL-inċident li sewa l-ħajja ta’ Miriam Pace huwa riżultat dirett ta’ din is-sitwazzjoni. Flimkien ma’ dan inżidu li l-legal notice miktuba minn Robert Musumeci tul is-sajf li għadda wara serje ta’ inċidenti simili hija l-prodott tal-inkompetenza u s-servilità lejn din il-lobby. Minn dejjem għedna li dawn l-inċidenti kienu se jibqgħu jseħħu għaliex din ir-“riforma” bl-ebda mod ma indirizzat il-problemi strutturali f’din is-sistema. \nMinbarra li nesprimu l-għadab ġustifikat ta’ parti kbira mill-poplu għal dan kollu\, f’din il-protesta qed nitolbu li tidħol is-serjetà u d-deċenza fl-industrija tal-kostruzzjoni. Qed nippreżentaw proposti għal riforma li ma tħallix il-piżijiet finanzjarji u loġistiċi fuq ir-residenti\, li tagħti lill-ħaddiema d-drittijiet u s-sigurtà meħtieġa\, li tintroduċi l-liċenzjar tal-kuntratturi u l-iżviluppaturi\, kif ukoll sistema ta’ punti u blacklisting. Dawn il-proposti jinsabu online fuq https://bit.ly/3aqdnCm. \nIs-Sibt il-protesta se tibda fl-10.30 minn quddiem il-Kulleġġ St Thomas More\, f’Santa Venera u se timxi lejn is-sit tat-traġedja fejn se jsiru xi diskorsi.

SUMMARY:The Help - Film Night
DESCRIPTION:Moviment Graffitti invites you to the screening of “The Help”\, a 2011 film directed by Tate Taylor and adapted from Kathryn Stockett’s 2009 novel. \nThe film takes place in the 1960s in the US\, when the civil rights movement was rising but black people were still facing abhorrent racial discrimination in all aspects of their lives. The Help talks about the harshness experienced by black women working as maids with rich white families\, but also about their friendship\, complicity and happy moments. The lives of the characters of the film starts to change when a young white woman aspiring to become a journalist decides to write about the injustice faced by the Afro-American women working as maids. \nFebruary is known as Black History month in the US and Canada\, with the intention of remembering the injustice and discrimination faced by black people in these countries in the past centuries\, and to raise awareness about racism still present in society today. \nThe screening will be followed by an open discussion\, drinks and nibbles. \nFree entrance.

SUMMARY:Il-Bajja tal-Balluta Mhedda // Deċiżjoni
DESCRIPTION:BALLUTA BAY UNDER THREAT – PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING \nThe decision on the application for Fortina’s private ferry in Balluta Bay will be taken on Monday 3rd February at 9:30am\, during a Planning Commission meeting at the PA Boardroom. The public is encouraged to attend this meeting in order to voice its opposition to this project. \nShould permission be granted for this jetty\, Balluta Bay would be transformed into a berthing place for Fortina’s private ferry. Basically\, Balluta Bay would suffer the same fate as the Ferries in Sliema\, where this same company took over the largest part of the shore for its private ferries. \nIf approved\, it would: \n\nDeny the residents of Sliema and St. Julian’s\, all Maltese and Gozitans and also tourists\, the enjoyment of one of Malta’s most important beaches. A jetty for a private ferry in such a small beach will inevitably mean constant hazards for bathers and sea pollution.\nContinue the takeover of public spaces for private interests. Fortina’s jetty has no public benefit – it is NOT an alternative means of transport. This is simply a jetty for a private ferry for tourists\, from which only Fortina will profit.\n\nSee you on Monday! \n************** \nIL-BAJJA TAL-BALLUTA MHEDDA – Il-LAQGĦA TAL-KUMMISSJONI TAL-IPPJANAR \nId-deċiżjoni dwar l-applikazzjoni għal ferry privat tal-Fortina fil-Bajja tal-Balluta se tittieħed nhar it-Tnejn 3 ta’ Frar fid-9:30am\, waqt laqgħa tal-Kummissjoni tal-Ippjanar ġewwa l-boardroom tal-PA. Il-pubbliku huwa mħeġġeġ jattendi għal din il-laqgħa sabiex juri l-oppożizzjoni tiegħu għal dan il-proġett. \nJekk jinħareġ il-permess għal dan il-proġett\, il-Bajja tal-Balluta ser tispiċċa post minn fejn jitlaq u fejn jittrakka ferry privat tal-Fortina. F’kelma waħda\, hemm pjan biex il-Bajja tal-Balluta issofri l-istess destin tal-Ferries f’tas-Sliema\, fejn din l-istess kumpanija ħadet il-biċċa l-kbira tax-xatt għall-ferries privati tagħha. \nDan il-pjan\, jekk isir\, se jkun qed: \n\nIċaħħad lir-residenti tas-Sliema u San Ġiljan\, lill-Maltin u l-Għawdxin kollha u anka lit-turisti milli jgawdu bajja ewlenija f’pajjiżna. Moll għal ferry privat f’bajja zgħira bħal dik se jfisser periklu kontinwu għall-għawwiema kif ukoll tniġġiż fil-baħar.\nIkompli jieħu spazji pubbliċi għal interessi privati. Il-moll tal-Fortina m’għandu ebda skop pubbliku – m’huwiex mezz ta’ trasport alternattiv\, iżda huwa sempliċiment moll għal ferry privat għat-turisti\, li minnu se jagħmlu qligħ biss il-Fortina.\n\nNarawkom nhar it-Tnejn!

SUMMARY:Screening of Binxet - Under the Border
DESCRIPTION:Moviment Graffitti invites you the screening of the 2017 documentary ‘Binxet – Under the Border’. This is an occasion to enjoy a film night together while learning more about the region of Rojava\, its recent history and what has been happening there. The film describes the 911 km border between Turkey and Rojava and the stories of people living along it. \nThe director\, Luigi D’Alife\, is a young Italian director interested in exploring “hidden” realities of our society. \nRojava is the East and North Syria and its population is mostly Kurdish\, although there is also a variety of minorities including Arab\, Assyrian\, Turkmen and Armenian. When Syria was at war\, this region declared itself as autonomous and implemented a revolutionary democratic confederalism aiming for gender equality\, environmental sustainability and direct democracy. The independent armies of Rojava (JPG and YPG) have fought against ISIS and obtained their independence. Last Autumn\, Turkey started a heavy attack against Rojava\, one which hasn’t stopped yet. \nMoviment Graffitti organised a protest in solidarity with Rojava last 19th October together with people from that region living in Malta. \nWe support the independent government of Rojava and its revolutionary project and hope for change! \nThe screening will be in the original language with English subtitles and will be followed by a discussion with a person from the Kurdish community living in Malta. \nThis event is free of charge. Drinks and nibbles will be also available.

SUMMARY:Malta RiseUp4Rojava
DESCRIPTION:The Kurdish community in Malta\, with the support of Moviment Graffitti\, are organising a peaceful gathering on Saturday 19th October at 10am\, outside the Turkish embassy in Floriana\, to condemn the Turkish invasion of Northern Syria (Rojava) and the brutal\, unprovoked assault by the Turkish state on communities in this area. \nOn Saturday\, people in Malta will join the global outrage at Turkey’s invasion that is resulting in the massacre of Kurds and other communities in Rojava and their displacement on a mass scale. The actions of the Turkish state are clearly driven by its hatred of Kurds – a group that also suffers systematic oppression and state violence within Turkey itself – as well as by its desire to destroy the egalitarian and democratic model being built in Rojava. \nIn fact\, Turkey is using Islamist militias to carry out its war on communities in Rojava\, and these are engaging in the cold-blooded assassination of Kurdish civilians such as woman’s rights activist and political leader Hevrin Khalaf. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has also made it clear he aims to change the demographics of Northern Syria. This demographic re-engineering is already at an advanced stage in the Kurdish province of Afrin. After the Turkish invasion of this province last year\, Turkish-backed Islamist militias have driven Kurdish people out of their homes and lands\, to replace them with people coming from other parts of Syria. Kurdish and other communities are thus facing the imminent risk of being ethnically cleansed from large swathes of Syria. \nIt is truly saddening that Turkey’s abhorrent actions are being enabled by the United States’ betrayal of the Kurds and the inaction of European countries. Only four years ago\, the world was celebrating the liberation of Kobane – one of the main cities in Northern Syria – by Kurdish fighters from the hands of ISIS. Now\, those Kurdish forces and Rojava communities that had been used to effectively clear ISIS from the region and that were pivotal in the defeat of this terrorist group\, have been completely and cruelly abandoned to Erdoğan’s ambition to destroy the Kurds and other communities in this region. \nThe Turkish invasion is threatening to revive the ISIS insurgency as thousands of ISIS members held in camps guarded by the Kurdish forces will take the opportunity provided by the fighting to flee and reconstitute terrorist cells. Kurdish forces guarding ISIS prisoners have been targeted by the Turkish army and renewed ISIS activity in Rojava has been reported. One should also note that\, for years\, Turkey has permitted weapons\, recruits\, and resources to reach ISIS through its borders. \nBoth ISIS and the Turkish invasion pose an existential threat\, not only to Kurds\, but also to all the ethnic minorities and religious groups indigenous to the region\, including Arabs\, Christians (Armenians\, Assyrians\, Chaldeans\, and Syriacs)\, Turkmens\, Chechens\, Alevites\, and Yazidis. \nOn Saturday\, we will gather outside the Turkish embassy in Floriana to call upon the world to take action and stop the invasion of Rojava\, the ongoing massacre of communities in this area and the renewed ISIS threat brought about by the Turkish government’s actions. We also urge the Maltese Government to honour its Constitutional obligation to actively work for peace by informing the Turkish ambassador that Malta forcefully opposes the Turkish invasion of Rojava.

SUMMARY:Diskussjoni - L-Attiviżmu f'Sistema b'Żewġ Partiti
DESCRIPTION:“Mhux kollox għalxejn?” \n“Nammirakom\, imma mhux li jridu huma se jagħmlu?” \n“Għalfejn ma toħorġux għall-elezzjoni flok tikkritikaw minn barra?” \nDawn huma ftit mill-frażijiet li nisimgħu ta’ spiss dwar l-attiviżmu tagħna u tal-oħrajn. \nL-attiviżmu inutli? Bilfors trid tkun f’xi partit politiku biex iġġib il-bidla? X’inhu r-rwol tal-movimenti attivisti fis-soċjetà Maltija? \nDan se niddiskutuh fl-isfond ta’ realtà fejn il-politika partiġġjana hija dominanti fis-soċjetà Maltija: għandha tkun daqshekk kontroversjali l-għażla li nitolbu lill-partiti politiċi ma jattendux protesti bħal dik tas-7 ta’ Settembru? Għandna nħallu spazju kompletament ħieles mill-partiġġjaniżmu\, jew qed neskludu sezzjoni tal-pubbliku? \nGħalhekk\, se nkunu qed nistaqsu wkoll x’għandha tkun ir-relazzjoni tal-attivisti fis-soċjetà ċivili mal-partiti politiċi\, u jekk l-attiviżmu tassew jistax jinfluwenza l-politika filwaqt li jibqa’ indipendenti mill-partiti. \nNiddiskutu dawn it-temi u aktar nhar is-Sibt 12 ta’ Ottubru flimkien ma’: \n\nAngele Deguara\, soċjologa u attivista tal-Moviment Graffitti;\nMichael Briguglio soċjologu\, ex-attivist tal-Moviment Graffitti u persuna li nvolviet ruħha f’partiti politiċi;\nSammy Meilaq\, ex-ħaddiem tat-Tarzna u trejdunjonista\, u persuna li kienet involuta fil-Partit Laburista.\n\nId-dibattitu jibda fis-7 u se jitmexxa bil-Malti\, u se jkun miftuħ għall-kontribuzzjonijiet mill-udjenza. \nNarawkom hemm!

SUMMARY:Iż-Żejjed Kollu Żejjed - Protesta
DESCRIPTION:Il-Moviment Graffitti qed jiftaħ sejħa għall-parteċipazzjoni għal protesta nazzjonali fi spazju ħieles mill-politika partiġġjana nhar is-Sibt 7 ta’ Settembru ġewwa l-Belt Valletta. \nIt-talbiet ta’ din il-protesta huma (ara t-talbiet sħaħ hawnhekk – www.7settembru.org) \ni) Policies: Bidla radikali fil-policies tal-ippjanar sabiex dawn jibdew iħarsu l-interessi tal-ħafna\, inkluż tal-ġenerazzjonijiet futuri\, minflok il-qligħ tal-ftit.\nii) L-Awtoritajiet Responsabbli mill-Ambjent u l-Ippjanar: Ix-xogħol u d-deċiżjonijiet ta’ dawn l-entitajiet għandhom ikunu ħielsa minn interessi kummerċjali u politiċi; irridu awtoritajiet demokratiċi li verament jiddeċiedu fl-interess ta’ pajjiżna.\niii) Proġetti Kbar: Nitolbu li dawn il-proġetti kbar ħafna jieqfu sakemm ikun daħal fis-seħħ pjan serju għall-iżvilupp f’pajjiżna li jiżgura li dawn it-tip ta’ proġetti jirrispettaw lill-komunitajiet u jkunu sostenibbli.\niv) Regolamentazzjoni tal-Kostruzzjoni: Irridu sistema li biha l-iżviluppaturi u l-awtoritajiet ikunu verament responsabbli mix-xogħol li jsir f’siti tal-kostruzzjoni sabiex jiġi żgurat li dan ma jipperikolax u ma jħarbatx il-ħajja tan-nies.\nv) Toroq u Trasport: Irridu li l-Gvern jerġa’ jikkunsidra d-deċiżjoni li jinbnew u jitwessgħu toroq li ħa jeqirdu ammont skandaluż ta’ siġar u art agrikola. Minflok\, il-Gvern għandu joħloq u jimplimenta strateġija li verament tindirizza l-problema tat-traffiku u tat-tniggiż u li din tkun tinkludi investiment serju f’mezzi ta’ trasport alternattiv. \n****************** \nEnough is Enough – Protest \nMoviment Graffitti is making a call for participation in a national protest\, in a space free of partisan politics\, on Saturday 7th September in Valletta. The aim of this protest is to bring together residents\, workers\, farmers\, students and organisations who are fed up of excessive and haphazard construction so as to make their voices heard in opposition to the madness that is consuming our country. We believe that together we can change this situation and fight the excessive power of the few who treat Malta as their own patch of land through which they can speculate and make profits. \nTherefore\, all formal and informal associations (NGOs\, resident associations\, student groups\, workers’ associations and farmers) from Malta and Gozo may reply to this public call by contacting us on info@7settembru.org or by filling in the online form here: www.7settembru.org. \nGroups affiliated with political parties will be turned down. \nThe protest will also make a number of demands related to (view full text of demands here: www.7settembru.org) \ni) Policies: A radical change in planning policies so that these can truly respect the interests of the majority\, including future generations\, instead of protecting the profits of the few.\nii) Authorities Responsible for the Environment and Planning: The operations and decisions taken by these authorities should be free from commercial and political interests; we want democratic authorities that can truly decide in the best interests of our country.\niii) Large-Scale Projects: A moratorium on large-scale projects until a comprehensive and serious plan for development in Malta is introduced. This plan should ensure that these types of projects respect the community and are sustainable.\niv) The Regulation of the Construction Industry: A system whereby developers and authorities are truly responsible of the work that is being carried out in construction sites so as to ensure that this doesn’t endanger or disturb people’s lives.\nv) Roads and Transportation: Government should reconsider the decision to build and widen roads that will destroy a scandalously huge amount of trees and arable land. Instead\, Government should be working on the creation and implementation of a strategy that truly addresses the traffic and pollution issues\, and this strategy should include serious investment in alternative means of transport.
